WSU Student Veterans Chosen as Representatives for New AmeriCorps Program
PULLMAN, Wash.—Two Washington State University students were hired to be Veterans Corps representatives for WSU campuses.
The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs was awarded $252,000 from the Washington Commission for National and Community Service to implement a new AmeriCorps program. The Veterans Corps will engage 27 VetCorps members in a one-year pilot program serving veterans, soldiers and their families.

WSU Associate Dean Joins National Education Research Committee
PULLMAN, Wash. — Corinne Mantle-Bromley, interim associate dean for Washington State University’s College of Education, has accepted a nomination to serve on the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education’s (AACTE) Committee on Research and Dissemination.
AACTE is an alliance of educator preparation programs that promotes learning for students in preschool through 12th grade. PULLMAN, Wash.—Edwin M. Tingstad M.D. ‘88 received the Washington State University Alumni Association (WSUAA) Alumni Achievement Award Sept. 5.
PULLMAN, Wash.— On Thursday, August 20, Bud Nameck received the Washington State University Alumni Association (WSUAA) Honorary Alumnus Award. Nameck was honored for his outstanding service to WSU and his longstanding support of Cougar Athletics.
