WSU Groups To Review Three-year Parking Plan

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The University Parking and Transportation Task Force has been reviewing a capital financial plan that would provide the capital needed to maintain and repair existing parking structures and surface lots. WSU Shows Continued Enrollment Strength for Spring Semester

PULLMAN, Wash.  – Washington State University continues to attract strong enrollments, reporting a record spring semester number of 24,340 students on its four campuses. The official spring figures, based on enrollments on the 10th day of classes of the semester, show an increase of 530 students or 2.2 percent over spring 2009 numbers. The university’s fastest-growing campus continues to be WSU Tri-Cities, which enrolled 1,508 students, an increase of 160 or 11.9 percent over last spring. Five Fitness Certificates Offered Online at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University’s Conference Management unit has joined forces with Educational Fitness Solutions to offer five online professional certificates in fitness, nutrition and wellness. The certificates will equip both established professionals and graduating students to advance in a booming industry. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the demand for fitness professionals will grow 29 percent between 2008 and 2018. Northwest Public Radio Moves to WSU’S Edward R. Murrow College of Communication in February

PULLMAN, Wash. – Northwest Public Radio, a statewide NPR network owned by Washington State University, will become part of the Edward R. Arasu Named Associate Vice President for International Programs and Chief International Officer

PULLMAN, Wash. –Prema Arasu has been named associate vice president for international programs and chief international officer at Washington State University. Donations to Haiti Relief Continue

PULLMAN, Wash.-The Cougar Haitian Relief Fund, established Jan. 13 at the Washington State University Foundation, has received about $14,000 in gifts and pledges from the WSU community, the foundation reports. The fund was begun with a $1,000 donation by WSU President Elson S. Floyd. It is one of several means through which faculty, staff, students and others affiliated with the university can contribute money to aid in relief efforts in Haiti, ravaged by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake beneath its capital of Port-au-Prince. “Considering ... [more]

Regents Approve Retirement Incentive Plan, Housing Rates

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Board of Regents of Washington State University approved a voluntary retirement incentive plan for  employees who are members of State of Washington administered retirement systems and approved housing and dining and apartment rental rates for next academic year.
