VANCOUVER, Wash. – Washington State University Vancouver has appointed Todd Olney as Director of Campus and Regional Development.

As the director, Olney’s job will be primarily involved with fundraising and related activities both for the WSU Vancouver campus and for the regional major gifts program of the WSU Foundation.

He comes to WSU Vancouver from the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Corvallis, Ore., where he also served as director of development, with various other previous development positions affiliated with the OSU Foundation.

“Working in the Vancouver area was very attractive to me,” Olney said. “I’m looking forward to reaching out to connect the university with alumni, as well as to the larger community.”

Olney has also served as the volunteer coordinator for the American Cancer Society’s Annual Relay for Life, and as a board member for the Opera Theater Corvallis.

WSU Vancouver offers 14 bachelor's and nine master's degrees in more than 35 fields of study. The campus is located at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., east of the 134th Street exit from either I-5 or I-205. For more information, visit http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu.
